Dashboard Dark Mode

As a developer who primarily works in dark mode, switching to Stripe’s bright interface is jarring. Is there a specific reason Stripe doesn’t offer a dark mode option in the dashboard?

I reached out to the dashboard team to get a bit more info for ya. Dark mode for dashboard is definitely something the team is interested in building, but unfortunately isn’t a high priority right now

Hello!

I was trying to find it, and since all my screens are in darkmode stripe is the only dashboard that doesn’t have darkmode… and usually i visit stripe in the evening local time… we need darkmode!

Hello guys!
Imagine the discomfort of someone working with black screens all day, dozens of different tools and then coming to Stripe only to become blind for a few minutes. I mean, this a developer focused platform, this would show much appreciation. thanks!

you can use this for now: https://darkreader.org. I’m just another founder dev who seems to be bothered with light mode.

dark theme is so important, it should be there by default. don’t put the toggle option, just ask the dev team to change everything to dark theme

Agree 100% w/everyone here. I’m honestly so surprised that Stripe doesn’t have this in 2024. Burns my eyes out and dark reader doesn’t get everything 100% perfect so hard to see the distinctions between sections.

Definitely dark mode is needed. I mean this page is in dark mode lol why not the dashboard? Light mode is blinding.

Then make it a high priority!
I’m not trying to burn out my retina just trying to read the docs!
What’s more important than the platform not being physically painful to use?

No dark mode these days is dropping the ball massively…

just adding my voice to the choir. not having dark mode in 2025 is just plain lazy and negligent. it’s not even a complicated feature to add!

We’re in 2025! It’s absolutely crazy that dark mode still isn’t a priority for Stripe’s dashboard. This should be one of the top priorities, especially considering its impact on UI/UX.
