Event Destinations has begun rolling out to general availability as of 10/30 and will soon be enabled for all accounts.
What’s new?
Event Destinations allows you to send events to multiple places on the internet including webhook endpoints, Amazon EventBridge, and more cloud destinations in the future. You can manage event destinations in the Dashboard with Workbench and Developer Dashboard, or programmatically with the API. Managing event destinations for Amazon EventBridge is only supported in Workbench or with the API.
What to expect:
-
As of today, 10/30, you’ll be able to use the Event Destinations API to programmatically manage webhook endpoints and Amazon EventBridge destinations.
-
Event Destinations will roll out to your account within the next several weeks. Once it is enabled on your account, your existing Webhooks tab in Developer Dashboard and Workbench will be Event Destinations. Use the Event Destinations tab in Workbench to send events to Amazon EventBridge and manage webhook endpoints.
If Event Destinations has not rolled out to your account yet, you can enable it now in your Dashboard in your Product preview settings.
