Introducing a new Stripe community for plugin developers

Introducing a new community for our vibrant plugin developer ecosystem within Stripe Insiders. This new category, Stripe Plugins, is designed to help keep developers up to date on the latest product changes impacting their integration, empowers developers through enriched collaboration, and delivers more relevant support.

What is a plugin?

Plugins are any integration between a third-party solution and Stripe that requires a user to authenticate with their secret API keys. A plugin typically interacts with Stripe APIs either by making API calls or reacting to Stripe API events on behalf of its users. Often plugins run code so Stripe can interact with other software (e.g. accept payments on Wordpress), but they may take other shapes too, like open-source libraries or website builders.

Do you maintain a plugin?

If so, here’s what this new community can offer you:

  • Direct updates: Be the first to hear about critical Stripe product updates. Receive the latest information on features, updates, and best practices to ensure that your products comply with the latest Stripe standards and products.
  • Growth: Learn more about the Stripe Partner Ecosystem and explore how you can grow your business further with Stripe.
  • Direct access: Engage directly with Stripe teams, problem solve, give feedback, and get support. You even get access to betas to try the latest features and provide feedback to the teams that build them.
  • Unified Community: Connect with a global network of plugin developers. The community is your space to exchange ideas and make meaningful connections.

Stay tuned for more updates from Stripe in the coming weeks. We want to hear from you. Please post any questions, feedback, concerns in the thread below.
