We are gated into the partial payments beta, and it has taken a big step forwards since I last looked (see GIF below). Particularly pleasing that it actually records external payments as a payment - so all analytics etc. are up to date, and Stripe is a true consolidated system of record - and that partially paid invoices can then be settled with a regular Stripe payment (great for insurance shortfalls).
The main limitation we see on this is that it doesn’t work for invoices created through connected accounts - which in our case, is all invoices. Is this something that is going to change in the near future?
Also - will payments via this route pass through to tools like Xero?
I didn’t know this beta existed, and I’m working on implementing partial out-of-band payments using credit notes. Is there more info on this beta somewhere?
I too and needing more information on access to the partial payment beta. Weeks ago my client signed up for it, and still hasn’t heard back from stripe. If we can’t get this implemented, I will need to suggest an option other than stripe. Would love to know if you had any luck getting access to the option to allow partial payments.
I’m also in need of this feature. Where can I enroll in this beta program?
@gus Do you remember how you got access to this feature?
I already asked Stripe Support. But they keep referring me to the Payment Plans beta. Which seems like it’s a different set of features, though partially related as your splitting the whole payment into multiple parts. But with that beta enabled, I still don’t see the ‘record payment’ button on the invoice page.
So how do we get payments I need to know I’m broke right now and never mind I thought I was going to get famous. Can they send to my account $Virg-1977 chime
